Key Contract Questions to Ask

What is the minimum contract term?

Verisure contracts have typically been 36–60 months. Always confirm the exact minimum period in writing.

What happens if I want to cancel early?

Most subscription contracts include an early termination clause requiring payment of the remaining monthly fees or a significant percentage thereof.

Who owns the equipment?

Verisure retains ownership of all installed equipment. On contract end or cancellation, they will recover their equipment.

What happens if I move house?

Verisure can typically reinstall their system at a new property. There may be an additional charge for this.

Are there annual price increases?

Many subscription contracts allow for annual price increases linked to inflation or at the provider's discretion. Check the specific clause.

Your Right to Cancel

Under UK consumer contract regulations, you have a 14-day cooling-off period for contracts entered into at a distance (online or by phone) or at your home. If a salesperson visited your home, you have 14 days to cancel without penalty. This applies to Verisure and all other home security providers.
